Deletions: How do I delete lesson plans, etc?

A "record" is a full line of information in the database -- such as a lesson entry or a course materials entry.

To delete a record: First click on the "record-selector" (a small gray box on the line you want at the left side of the window -- it may have a black triangle in it). Then hit the delete key on your keyboard. You will be prompted to proceed with the deletion or to cancel. You can delete more than one record at a time if you drag the mouse across multiple record-selectors then hit the delete key. Note: you won't be able to delete a record by trying to delete individual boxes of text within the record -- entire records must be deleted all at once.

You can practice deletions by going to the Help menu and click on "Screen Navigation & Deleting Records". To get help with deleting a course go to the Setup menu then "Courses/Curriculum Setup" then click on the "How to Delete a Course" button.

Important ---------

Before you can delete a course, all materials for that course and all lessons for that course must first be deleted. This is done on purpose to avoid accidental mass deletions of courses from the database!
