DataPlus Solutions is a family-run business out of our home near sunny Golden, Colorado (OK, so there's no sun in the picture).  My first product, HomeSchool Easy Records, came about when I couldn't find any similar product to help us with homeschooling our daughter!  So I developed HomeSchool Easy Records and introduced it at the 1996 Christian Homeschool Educators of Colorado (CHEC) conference in Denver. Since then, I have developed a customer base now covering 50 states, D.C., Canada, Guam, England, Japan and Thailand. I am happy to report that customer acceptance of the program has been excellent!

I am encouraged by the positive feedback I get regarding the program. Sometimes improvement ideas are offered and I take all of these very seriously (as in version 2). I will continue to apply the best ideas toward future releases. As competing products have started to appear on the market, I obtain each one for evaluation and try to "stay ahead of 'em"!

My long term plans are to keep doing this home business well into retirement which will be around the year 2017!  I love the idea of creating an easy-to-use, affordable software solution to the tedious job of homeschool recordkeeping. My design philosophy is that the software should be so intuitive that you don't need the manual -- and so foolproof that it won't let you get into a jam.

P.S. A little bit about my background... I'm an electrical engineer and programmer with a master's degree in electrical engineering from Ohio State University. I've done other database design for my daytime employer and for a local hospital.

But wait... is that what I am?  I am a child of God, saved through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  I thank God for the opportunity to pursue this small business venture.  I'm also the happy husband of a great wife, Bev, (30 years now) and the proud father of three beautiful (inside and out) daughters, Krista, Karla, and Erin. --  Now... That's what I am!
