Recordkeeping for college consists of collecting and organizing information
that will later appear on a transcript. This includes grades, achievement
tests, college entrance examinations, extracurricular activities, and
personal achievements, to name a few. In addition, you must be able
to communicate the coursework through descriptions, objectives and activities
(assignments).
It is important
to remember that if you are a homeschooler, you have the task of communicating
an nontraditional method of education to a traditional institution (college).
Therefore, although you may use "unschooling" you will have
to format the information in a way the colleges understand and accept.
Christian colleges may be more flexible in what they accept; however,
the majority of colleges may be relatively rigid in what they accept.
This is in part due to the accreditation policies that they must adhere
to.
