We run two different e-mail lists ("groups") that you can use to stay informed about HomeSchool Easy Records.  One is an "announcement only" list, called HER-Update, which we use to occasionally send information about the program such as bug fixes, user tips, or product updates.  If you join this group, you won't be able to "post" (send messages) to it -- you can only receive messages.

The other is a two-way discussion group, only available to HER users, that you can participate in, called HER-Discuss.  This is the more traditional e-mail list which allows you to send comments to a single e-mail address and get to everyone else on the list.  When they reply, everyone on the list (including you) gets the response.  So it's just like an open discussion.  It's most useful for user-to-user tips and tricks about HomeSchool Easy Records.  When you sign up via the website (see below) you can choose to receive messages normally (as they are created -- which is best for discussion participation), or as a daily digest (which is good if you just want to "listen in").  But it's easy and very informal to participate interactively.

To join the one-way announcement list (HER-Update)...

On the Web, go to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HER-Update and register.

To join the interactive discussion list (HER-Discuss)...

On the Web, go to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HER-Discuss and register.

These groups are run through an organization called Yahoo! Groups.  Yahoo! Groups is a free email group service that allows you to easily create and join email groups. Email groups offer a convenient way to connect with others who share the same interests and ideas.  If you just want to learn more about all of this e-mail list stuff, go to Yahoo! Groups and snoop around!

Viewing Archives -- Once you sign up at the website, you can view past issues of either group.  Just go to either of the lists then go to Messages and the Archive area.

Change of Email Address -- If your e-mail address changes, sign in to the Yahoo! Groups website(s) and change your address under the My Preferences link.

To Unsubscribe -- Using the e-mail account you want to unsubscribe, send a blank e-mail addressed to either

HER-Update-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
or
HER-Discuss-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
