Using Lesson Plan Templates
![]() |
In LPM, you create two kinds of Lesson Plans: regular and unit studies. Regular lesson plans apply to a single course and unit studies apply to more than one course. You can import lesson plans that you used in Version 2 or you can import from the Online Library (provided by other HER users). You can use lesson plans while they are under construction and re-apply them at any time with a couple of clicks! |
|
You will begin to build a personal collection of lesson plans and unit studies that you can use at any time and for any student. At this point, they are undated and are all stored in LPM – much like a file cabinet. If you find a lesson plan in the Online Library that you think you will use in the future, just add it to your personal library.

When you set up courses in Record Keeper, you can link one or more lesson plans to the course – in the order you want them to occur. For example, assume you want to use many unit studies that are strung together. You will link them to the course in the order you want them to appear in your assignments.

When you set up your students and the courses that they are taking (in Record Keeper), you have already linked the lesson plans to the course. In the assignment screen, you will click on [Use LPM Template] and all lessons and materials will go into the assignment screen – automatically scheduled and dated! The auto scheduler will skip the days you have decided will be no assignment days -- i.e. holidays, etc
